Zombies in Chicago
We seem to be obsessed with street art these days, and Chicago makes for a great place to enjoy it. We have found this Zombie man a few times west of the city, in the West Loop and Wicker Park neighborhoods. Does anyone know the artist? We couldn’t help but go a little crazy when we saw him! Keep checking back for more street art and more people- who knows, maybe we’ll ask you to pose!
You are only given a little spark of madness. You mustn’t lose it. -Robin Williams
Banksy in Chicago
We finally went to see one of the places where Banksy left his mark in Chicago a few days ago, and were not disappointed. Located in the West Loop neighborhood, Banksy’s carriage rolling down a staircase has since been defaced by the public. One has to wonder if this person knew they were making their mark on a piece by an infamous, elusive street artist. Nevertheless, it is still a great piece- tiny animals and all. If you haven’t checked out Banksy’s documentary, Exit Through a Gift Shop, you should! It’s a great look into the street art scene. More street art and other Banksy spottings to come!
The holy grail is to spend less time making the picture than it takes people to look at it. -Banksy
Eyes to See
Just a smattering of images from a recent breakfast outing to Anne Sather. Although we didn’t even realize at the time, all of these images are connected by eyes. Funny how sometimes you don’t see the repetition of something until it smacks you in the face.
She walks in beauty, like the night of cloudless climes and starry skies; and all that’s best of dark and bright meet in her aspect and in her eyes. – Byron
